Let me see…Well, as you know, most of old Chinese cities are industrial ones. There is no exception in our hometown―Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu Province in Northwestern of the country. Lanzhou is a famous heavy industrial city in china. Because areas of Northwest of china are rich in mental mineral resources, so most of plants in Lanzhou are steel-making related, and the biggest one is Lanzhou steel-making Group.
With the long history of heavy industry, the steel-making plants in our hometown have play ed significant roles in local economic development. It was estimated nearly 73% of local government’s income is gained from those plants by the end of last century.
However, though these high profit plants give the great support for the city’s finance, they have caused serious environmental problems. They pollute the atmosphere and water body by all kinds of garbage. Fortunately, our government has realized such problem and has taken some measures to reduce the pollution. Last year, I came back hometown and found the air is more and more fresh and the sky is blue again.
Are you satisfied with the present situation of industry in your city?
Yes. I think government has become more and more aware of the relation between the development and environment. On the one hand, they try to invest more money on these industries so that they can produce more profits. On the other hand, more and more strict laws have been set up to restrict the bad effect caused by those plants. Anyone who breaks those laws would be punished immediately, no matter how much money he has contributed.
What is your opinion on the industrialization in the urban areas? Will they affect the agriculture industry or they will promote the economical situation in the urban areas?
I think the urban industrialization is popular in developing countries. This is especially true in china. As you have known, china is a country with the biggest agriculture in the world. However, the standard of agriculture in our nation is quite low. Farming can not make enough profit to stimulate the development of economy. So the urban industrialization is an unavoidable tendency. Meanwhile, the urban plants can absorb the redundant labor force from poor countryside and reinforce the economic balance.
What is your opinion on the industrialists who harm the environment just for their monopoly?
Well, for any industry, the influence to the environment is inevitable. The most important problem is how to control and limit it to the least. Of course, those bad actions, such as over destroying the forests or poisoning the lakes and rivers, should be restricted by law and punished severely, so as to let every people in mind that such crime doesn’t pay.
How do you think the choice of building the industry in the least populated areas?
I think it is the good idea to set up plants in those areas, not only because it can save much money. Building plants there can greatly reduce the direct pollution to the humans, such as polluted water, poisonous gas and big noise. Of course, the plants might do harm to the rural environment, but such effect is minor compared with the direct harm to human’s. We can take many measures to reduce it. Doing this is easier than in crowded cities.
l Describe a sportsman you adore.
Well, I’d like to talk something about Ms Deng Yaping, the famous female table tennis player in the world. She was born in 1973 in HeNan Province of China. Though she is not very tall and very stronger in the teams, she has beaten hundreds of the best table tennis players in the world and gained the countless honors. As I have known, she got three gold medals of Olypic sports game and kept the first rank among the list of the best world table tennis players for 8 years.
When she left the playing field in 1997, she went to study English language in Cambridge University and Tshinghua University, and got her master degree. Also, she successfully runs a company of making and selling sports shoes and clothes. She is also a good businesswoman in china.
I like her very much for three reasons. Firstly, she make the great achievement in sports and add the honor to our nation; Secondly, she can knew her shortcoming and study hard in university and get the master degree at last; Last but not least, she is very wise and know how to use her fame and talent to establish herself in the business.

I like table tennis too. You know, such game is very popular in china. Because it needs less facilities and small space, so it very suits for all kinds of people in this developing county. I think it can practice my flexibility of muscles and speed of reaction.

It depends on which contest I am taking, In most time, friendship is first and the success is the second. However, some contests involve the honor of the nation, I think the winning is important. Of course, any player should get the winning under the justice and should not do harm to other players so as to get a high rank.
What is your opinion on the international sports events?
I think those events can help the friendship between different countries. They also provide the opportunities for those nations to show their styles and features in front of the world people. International sports events stimulate the globalization and give the world business more chance. For example, it is estimated that Beijing would get a high income more than 2 billion yuan in the coming Olympics Game in 2008.
Your opinion on big companies, tobacco companies in particular, to support such events.
I don’t think it is improper for big companies to support such events. The big sports events give everyone the different chance. It is also true for business. Supporting such events can enlarge companies’ influence and propagandize their products, which are one of most important good effects brought by sports game. As for tobacco companies, they should be restricted in advertising so as not to encourage people smoke.

Describe a music you like?
Well, I would talk about an original pop song, called Don’t tease our Hubei’s Boy. It was recommended by one of my friends in America recently. You know, our city is the capital of Hubei Province. So I am very interested in this song.
The song tells a sad story. A boy of Hubei Province is studying in Germany. He is very shy and not rich as well. He loved a girl and invited her taking a walk everyday. However, the girl also has many rich friends. At last, when the boy bravely expressed his loving to the girl. She said that she cares much of money, instead of his feeling. His heart was broken and the song was then born.
With the accompanying of guitar, such song sounds very beautiful and I love it very much. I think the story happens everyday and everywhere among the students abroad.

Well, music is the one of the most popular things in the world. There are all kinds of music belonging to the different regions, such as the rock, jazz, classic music, hip-top and so on. People love music for some direct reasons: First, for the entertainment. Favorite music can make audiences happy and relax. In china or Thailand, music could even be used to cure some illness. Personally, I like pop music. I think the most important function of music is for entertainment. I am very busy in the office. So everyday, before I left the office, I will always leave about half one hour for me to enjoy my favorite pop music. It can relax me most.

Yes, I think so. Music is usually a special window of culture for foreigners. They can learn the customs and cultures by studying the traditional music. To some extend, the music is the mirror of nation’s culture.
Can music give a rise to a criminal act?
It is hard to say. In my opinion, not all the music has good effect to the audiences. For example, some fans are crazed by some improper rock music and cause many serious social problems. Thus, I think the topics of music should be censored carefully, some songs which would do harm to one’s spirit should be banned.
What are the differences between the music nowadays and the music of 60s or 70s?
I think I can talk about the changing of Chinese pop music. In 60s or 70s, people care much about the hot revolution and spirit of fighting with the nature. So nearly all the songs are about revolutionary topics and expressed people’s admiration for their dear leader, Mao Zedong. Nowadays, the pop music changes greatly.

Well, I’d like to talk about a famous garden in our city, called Zhongshan Garden. We also call it Zhongshan Park because it has become the beautiful public park for citizens. Zhongshan Garden is seated in the center of wuhan, the most busy place in Hankou.
In the history, Zhong shan garden was once belong to a famous rich man in old Wuhan. During the first Chinese civil war, it was occupied by the government and changed to the present name to memorize the dear leader, Mr Sun Zhongshan.
There are many beautiful plants in this garden, the beautiful flowers, the vast grassland and plenty of old trees. Also, it is an attractive place for children, just because there are many fantastic game equipments, such as roller coaster, tennis playground and rock climbing. In the morning, it is very peaceful, you can see many old people are doing exercise and children are running around. When the night is coming, you can see many lovers are chatting under the trees, sitting on the grassland or walking on the bank of the lake. Actually, it is a good place for everyone.
Because it is only 15 minutes way from home, I often go to this big garden to relax or exercise. I strongly recommend you to visit there.

Yes, of course. I think it is an important part of life for modern people. We can share some happiness among the beautiful flowers and grass. By providing much green color, it can make us comfortable. Otherwise, the garden can beautify our environment.
How many Chinese have there own gardens?
Very rare, I think. Chinese is an overpopulated country, the lands for living are quite inadequate, so only very rich people can have place to run their own gardens. I visited U.K several years before, and the private gardens give me great impression. I hope they will become popular in our country.
British garden: Nearly all the single villas in Britain have their small gardens in front of the doors. There are many colorful plants in those gardens and I can not exactly recognize all of them. Some people even hang the garden pots above the doors of building. It is very impressive.

Mum, …well, I think I will grow many different flowers in my private garden, such as rose, sun flower, peony and other beautiful ones. Because I love flowers very much, those colorful things can relax me and make me feel happy.
Where did you often play during your childhood?
You know, my hometown is a small village. So we have a big yard with a beautiful garden. I often play with other children in the garden. The most interesting thing for us is watching ants’ moving. We watched how ants fought with other worms and how they transmited their foods. If we found plenty of ants moved from one place to another, we knew the rain would be coming.

Usually, there are some chairs and tables in the garden. Most of them are made in stone. In some bigger gardens, the exercise equipments are available, such as running machine, barbell, horizontal bar, flying rings. People can relax or do exercise among the beautiful scene and fresh air.
How you grow a plant, give some ideas?
Mum, it is quite a difficult problem, because I know little about gardening. First, I guess proper irrigation is necessary for the plants growth, we should not provide too much or too little water to plants; Secondly, fertilization is also important; At last, we should often kill insects to protect plants. I am afraid that is all I know about it.

Well, let me see…. In my opinion, the most important invention before the computer maybe is car. As far as I know, the origination of motor vehicle is still debating, but this invention really changed our life greatly, Since it was invented, cars give us a freedom that our ancestors can not imagine. We can drive it swiftly, usually safely on the roads which are built to accommodate it.
Advantages: Such invention gives us many advantages. I think there are both advantages and disadvantages about car. Personally, I think the number of private cars should be limited in the urban area so as to reduce the bad effect on the environment. We can reduce the number of parking lots and raise the tax fee to restrict the use of private car. Cars should be banned in some areas of the city, forcing them use the public Vehicles or bicycles. At the same time, government should invest much money on the public transportation systems.

I think it an interesting question. I am not very sensible of the color. Maybe blue is. Because I like ocean very much, it is blue, just as the color of the sky.

Firstly, it is originated from the color of ocean and sky, so the blue also stands for the wideness and freedom. No, not usually, but sometimes. I am not care much about my clothes. I usually dress formal in my office while put on sportswear if I am in nervous. I think a relaxed dressing can help me relax too.

I think I learn much about computers just because I have been a computer and telecommunication engineer for several years. Computer is an unmatchable invention in last century. It has been widely used in nearly all the fields of our life, modern banking, retailing, medical treatment, education and so on. It is safe to say that computer has changed our life totally.
The computer has brought us many advantages and conveniences. First, its application has totally changed those traditional manual working models and improved the efficiency of working people dramatically. Second, it has led a great revolution in communication. The progress of computer network causes the birth of Internet, which provides us a very useful way of information exchanging. Lastly, computer also turns the long-distance training into reality. With the Computer Aided Education, students can grasp knowledge easily and quickly.

However, the most attractive thing is not the awarding of Nobel Price to Mr. John Nash, but his spirit to his life and the power of love supported by his dear wife.

Once you pressed it mistakenly the shark will close his mouth and bite your finger. When it opens its mouse, that controlling tooth will also change in random.
