That is tricky. You didn’t say it is after-tax income. If after-tax income is 650k, that means you family income before-tax has to be $100K.
All right, it is Friday, I have nothing to do in the office. Let’s count it again.
Since we have two kids, we have to buy a 3-bedroom house. That means the house price will be more than 400K. Assuming we pay 25% as down payment, the interest is 5.5%, 25 years.
Mortgage fee plus utility, property tax, insurance are around =1842+500+250+70=2662
Two kids daycare fee=1600. (Even they go to school, we have to pay after-school care fee. Because we can’t pick them up at 3.30pm. Since the family income is more than $100K, we can’t expect any penny from the childcare subsidy and CCTB.
You can say when kids are more than 12, they don’t need after-school care. But don’t forget summer camp fee and all kinds of after-school class, like swimming, hockey, and piano. You can’t just leave them home, watching TV, playing computer game.)
Two cars gas fee plus insurance =200+300=500
We only have $638 left for daily lives for family and dogs.
I have no idea for the dogs’ expense. Anybody else have any common?
By the way, since we have no saving each month. How can we get the money for the down payment for the house and the cars? Also, we can't save any penny for RRSP.
Just for discussion, no argument again, please!!
