加拿大移民部网上公布的移民案例处理时间统计时限是从接到申请到申请人首次登录，整个进程表述为：

Medical results have been received.
A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.
You entered Canada at the Vancouver International Airport office on Month Date, Year (for example, January 1, 2008) and became a Permanent Resident.
因此，看到处理时间平均为55～60个月，事实上从申请到拿到签证的时间目前一般为2年左右，但申请者拿到签证到登录时间比较长，要求是一年登录，实际上普遍都要3个月以上的准备时间。
