Need Help on a Used Corporate Fleet Lease 2006 Saturn ION!?
We're looking at purchasing a used 2006 Saturn ION. The CarFax report stated it was a Corporate Fleet Lease Vehicle and showed the car was purchased the beginning of 2007 and all 37,000 miles were put on the car within one month. By calculation that's over 1,000 miles a day (maybe a courier service or something)? Is it advisable to purchase a vehicle that has such high mileage in such a short amount of time? It makes me wonder if it was taken care of or had the oil changed as necessary if all the miles were put on the car at once.
The carfax report shows:
One owner - Purchased in 2007
Type of Owner: Corporate Fleet Lease
Estimated Length of ownership: 1 month
Mileage: 37,139
1/29 - Registered as a Corporate Fleet Lease
2/23 - Title Issued, First Owner Reported
3/13 - Sold at Action
4/4 - Vehicle offered for sale
Does anyone have any advice on whether this would be a safe purchase or a bad investment? Thanks!

You could try to research WHAT company bought it, and try to inquire to the company what there vehicle service program is.
Most companies take good care of their vehicles and service them regularly. But some don't. Sounds like it was mostly highway miles and that would be a good thing. If it was used for local stuff, you are right, that is a lot of starting, stopping, and much wear and tear on the brakes. Research is really your only good option. Good Luck, Saturn's are very reliable vehicles.
