是的,.按照上面那位的讲法,先做POST DOC的,那更做不了教授,往往一直做POST DOC,有的一做好几年,因为POST DOC有期限,一般学校会给他转FACULTY,加个ASSOCIATE 什么的头衔,连ASSIT PROF可能也不是,只不过是ASSOCIATE SCIENTIST等,就是帮人做实验,我也认识一个的,他对别的中国人说他是付教授,结果我一查他的职位,在那个学校网上就是这个头衔,骗骗国人是可以的.人家也搞不清.另外这边大学有讲师的.

Currently, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has an opening for a Bioinformatics Associate Research Scientist (Job Number 16844).
The Bioinformatics Associate Research Scientist in the Information Sciences Department participates in data mining, data visualization, statistical analysis, experimental design, and database development. The incumbent provides research support to interdepartmental investigators and assists in training investigators and new users to use bioinformatics applications and databases. The Research Scientist participates in the bioinformatics group’s independent research and assists in preparing and submitting manuscripts for publication.
Requirements
PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics or related field is required.
PhD, which must include research related to bioinformatics (such as analysis of sequence data, microarrays, SNPs, image data, proteomics data, or biological pathways; development of algorithms, statistical methods, or scientific software) or,
PhD with no bioinformatics research, then minimum of 2 years of pre-or postdoctoral experience in Computational Biology or Bioinformatics research is required.
Experience with programming languages such as Perl, C, or Java is required.
