i talked to payroll assistant this morning and she told me how to count the paying period.

thw salary was correct.


anyway, the tax is indeed severe, about 35%???? Damn.

我和LD两个人都不记得每张pay check的税前数字是多少，因为没有意义。我们只记得扣完税和EI之类后，剩下的那个数字。

不过到报税的时候买点RRSP，还可以退一些税。没觉得日子很难过。

他要title，我要实权，所以各取所需，呵呵。我的proposal基本上都是通过的，而他基本上没有什么proposal，他的作用类似于批一个“已阅”。不过“已阅”也得是领导才能批的啊。

How much RRSP I can purchase each year? The company proposes me to join a group retirement plan which will deduct some money from my each pay. They provide me with some reading stuff about that plan. i find they invest in quite a few funds. Actually the group retirement plan, itself, is just like a fund.

When can I withdraw the money of RRSP? Until the day when I get retired?

You can purchase up to 18% of your last year's total income as your this year's RRSP. You can withdraw any time after your purchase. However, whatever amount you withdraw becomes your this years income and subject to be taxed on your highest margin.

It is better to join the company's retirement plan. The company will contribute some money for you. It's like you earn extra tax free money. It is a benefit.

There is some exception you can withdraw the money from your RRSP account without paying current tax, for examply, buying your first house. You just have to pay it back in a certain amout of years (Don't remember exactly, 5 years?)
