Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Analysis of existing and future telecommunication services in use within HRM.
  • Reviews department requests for new telephone installations and modifications to ensure completeness of orders and correct billing information.
  • Maintains various records, logs, files related to telecommunications requests for service or service changes.
  • Provides information and technical assistance regarding new technology; systems configuration; and using existing equipment to maximum efficiency.
  • Works with Business Units and Financial Services and the vendor to ensure that billing discrepancies are resolved and correctedin a timely manner.
  • Liaising with HRM staff and the service providers to address, in a timely and efficiently manner, any matters currently outstanding or arising with regard to telecommunications.
  • Assists in the development, and implementation of policies, procedures and documentation regarding telephony services.
  • Develops and promotes appropriate training procedures regarding proper acquisition of services from telecommunication providers.
  • Escalation of problem reports through appropriate channels in a timely manner to ensure resolution.
  • Performs other work and special projects as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Diploma or Degree in Business or related field, or suitable combination of formal education and experience.
  • Three or more years experience in Telephony Communications.
Technical/Job Specific Knowledge:
  • Training and experience in telecommunications primarily in the area of voice services and related system analysis and design, operation and maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of circuit design.
  • Minimum three years 3 experience with Centrex and Centrex related services.
  • Minimum three years 3 experience of DMS100 switching and features.
  • Experience using Bill 2000 and the ability to create custom reports.
  • Knowledge of billing process and procedures and service offerings of the ILEC and CLEC and cellular carriers.
  • Knowledge of telecommunication practices associated with different systems.
  • Ability to research, identify and/or design and recommend cost effective selection and utilization of telecommunications equipment and systems.
  • Experience in the deliver of training on telecommunications services and features.

They are currently seeking a process engineer in Saint John, NB to join their growing team and to share in their journey toward excellence.
Responsibilities include:
  • Identify, define, evaluate and justify projects to support both the base business and the processing and transportation business unit's strategic plan. This is an opportunity to influence the design work for new units and revamp existing units to meet the demands of the strategic and operating plans for the Processing and Transportation business unit.
  • Liaise with Technology Vendors and with our Project Solutions Alliance organization.
  • Work with internal customers to assist with development of feasibility studies, and process design basis' generation.
  • Produce key documents for feasibility, preliminary economics, and process design basis to schedule milestones for decision making.
  • Ensure that documentation of studies, business cases and design bases are correctly archived for retrieval.
  • Participate in the development of the capital budget submission items for the Processing and Transportation business unit.
  • Participate in the development of the input to the Processing and Transportation business unit's Capital and Master Planning process.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering and 2-5 years engineering experience. You must be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer. Experience in a refinery in the areas of technology, operations and technical services would be ideal. You must be able to clarify issues, manage multiple conflicting priorities, manage projects and staff while meeting deadlines. A strategic thinker, you have superior people skills. Duties:

Job Description


The Technologist function is designed to provide a fast and efficient response to technical and application queries on PVL (Automotive Passenger Vehicle Engine Oils), CVL (Commercial Vehicle Engine Oils), Industrial, Marine and Aviation (PCIMA) products from customers, distributors and sales staff. The Technologist will serve as the first point of contact for questions and clarifications on ExxonMobil range of PCIMA products and their applications.

Typical Scope of Responsibilities
  • The Technologist will be responsible for answering queries within defined geographic / customer boundaries (Zone, Country Cluster, Country, Line of Business (LOB), Customer Grouping, etc) and for passing on more complex technical queries to experts based outside the New Brunswick Business Support Centre.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide technical information on Exxon, Esso, Mobil PCIMA lubricant products (data sheets, Material Safety Data Sheets, general product content/claims/approvals, product approvals).
  • Provide technical information on the application of PCIMA lubricants.
  • Accept customer complaints entering ExxonMobil via the Technical Help Desk (phone, fax, letter, and email), record these and direct them to the appropriate ExxonMobil responsible person.
  • Record all calls and other communications with customers, distributors and internal (log in Customer Response Management tool).
  • Communicate sales leads to the appropriate sales channel.
  • Identify nearest supply source (Distributor locator)
  • Provide information on, and handle, customer queries on ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Provide data interpretation / troubleshooting on Used Oil Analysis Programs (Signum, E-Plus).
  • Signum System support
  • Interface with "Our Data Works (ODW)" PVL customer service offering desk.
Secondary duties
  • Provide translation assistance for Product Data Sheets on PCIMA lubricants.

Shift Flexibility
  • All shifts occur within core hours of 9:00AM to 7:00PM (8.5 hour shift). Working hours will vary to allow for adequate coverage across 2 time zones.
Note: Team members are expected to be and will be compensated for time spent on call after-hours on a rotation basis (based on a pre-assigned schedule)
Travel Note: For this position, new hires must be willing and able to spend 3 consecutive weeks in the United States (Fairfax, VA) to train for their new job (23 January ? 10 February, 2006). Only employees who are able to meet requirements for entry into the United States will be considered for these positions. Duties:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for organizing the effective use of labour, equipment and resources used in road repair, maintenance and snow/ice control operations. Ensuring that safe work practices and policies are followed and that work meets established standards and specifications. Responsibilities include daily supervision of staff by overseeing work on job sites, conducting preliminary site investigations and preparing cost estimates; following up on customer concerns and co ordinating the operation of equipment, ensuring the completion of daily preventative maintenance.
Qualifications:
Grade 12 plus four years directly related experience in road repair, maintenance and Snow & Ice Control or a Civil Engineering Technology diploma or an Engineering degree. The ability to work well under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks and priorities, and demonstrate good judgement in problem solving and decision making. The candidate must possess a working knowledge of the departments time reporting system and work order generation as well as the ability to track time cards, wages, equipment rentals, inventories and accomplishments. A working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, highway maintenance practices, construction methods and department specifications and standards are essential.

Position Summary:

The Plant Services Manager is responsible for the overall management and operation of the Central Heating Plant, Refrigeration Plant, HVAC systems and associated mechanical systems at the Pictou County Health Authority.


The Plant Services Manager will manage plant and maintenance personnel by assigning and reviewing work, manage the activities and life cycle for the operation and maintenance of high pressure steam and low pressure hot water boilers, pressure vessels, cooling equipment, power generation equipment, feed water systems, liquid and gaseous fuels, burner management systems, chemical feed systems, compressed air and distribution systems.
Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of Grade XII or equivalent required.
  • Second Class interprovincial Power Engineers Certification or a Second Class Nova Scotia Power Engineers Certification and Second Class Refrigeration Certification is required.
  • Thorough understanding of underlying theory and principles, techniques, practices, properties and theories of thermodynamics, pressure, temperature, volume, relationships, weights, trigonometry, algebra, geometry; properties of metals and materials.
  • Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing codes, hydraulics, pump characteristics and applications, chemistry as applied to industrial water treatment.
  • Sound knowledge of techniques and procedures required to operate electronic and pneumatic or computerized plant control systems.
  • Knowledge of NS Boilers and Pressure Vessels Act, WHMIS, National Fire Code, CSA, Environmental Protection Act, Municipal Bylaws and standard operating procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers using software applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for this position.
