• 贪婪：失控的欲望。是七宗罪中的重点与原点，其他六项罪恶只是无理欲望的补充延伸。
• 色欲：肉体的欲望。是指过度追求性爱的快感。
• 贪食：食物的欲望。是对过度放纵、浪费食物，与贪图追求娱乐的心。
• 妒忌：财产的欲望。因对方拥有的资产(金钱、才能、容貌等)比自己多或超越，对此心怀怨恨。
• 懒惰：逃避的欲望。因偷懒及浪费所造成的损失。
• 傲慢：卓越的欲望。因过分自信心导致的自我迷恋，自认自己处处高人一等。
• 暴怒：复仇的欲望。来自心里的暴燥、愤怒、憎恨导致情绪失控暴走产生强烈的报仇心态。

各种罪行其实环环相扣，所以各种各样的动机也被假设成是与各种罪行相连。例如骄傲（过度迷恋自己）其实暗示了贪食（过份消耗或浪费食物），其余各种罪行亦有相同的连系。每种罪行其实在表现出自视比神更重要，因而未能全心全意全神地投入去爱神。

七宗罪的拉丁语为：“superbia”，“invidia”，“ira”，“accidia”，“avaritia”，“gula” and “luxuria”。在重新排列后，它们的第一个字母可以形成中世纪拉丁语“saligia”，然后衍生出其动词“saligiare”（去实行一条罪名，to commit a deadly sin）。

• 均衡：一方比另一方付出更多（从但丁的神学观念上去看，懒惰是‘未能全心爱上帝，未能全副精神爱上帝，未能全人之心灵爱上帝’－具体来说包括懒惰、怯懦、缺乏想像力、满足及无责任心。

• 暴怒－ 源自憎恨而起的不适当（邪恶的）感觉，复仇或否定他人，在律法所赋与的权力以外，行使惩罚他人的意欲亦被归作愤怒。过份的警戒、对他人有伤害的意图。它也 包括对他人无理的愤怒，例如因种族引起的歧视。因暴怒而引起的罪都是大罪，例如杀人、歧视、大屠杀等等。（但丁描述为‘把对公义的爱护歪曲为复仇和憎 恨’）。

• 妒忌－妒忌跟贪婪一样，是一种因为不能满足的欲望而产生的罪恶。 首先，贪婪通常跟物质财产有关，而妒忌则跟其他方面有关，例如爱情，或他人的成功。第二，妒忌的人的欲望，通常建基于他人的失去。妒忌可以令人对他人的不 幸袖手旁观，甚至为他人的悲惨遭遇而感到快乐。因对方所拥有的资产比自己丰富而心怀怨怒（但丁说：“对自己资产的喜爱变质成了忌恨其他更美好事物的拥有者 的欲望”）。

People ask, “Isn’t Responding and Reacting the same thing?” Actually, though the words are similar, the difference is significant. For example, as Zig Ziglar asks, “did you respond well to the medication your doctor prescribed, or did you have a bad reaction?”

Here’s a look at the difference between those two concepts. Recently I was pulling into a parking space. Being too hurried, and not paying attention as I should have, I didn’t notice that the car parked in the next space had a man coming out of it. I braked in plenty of time, but it gave the man a start. He immediately looked at me in a way that communicated true anger.

He reacted. Who could blame him? Now I had a choice; would I react to his reaction? … or would I respond, thereby diffusing an otherwise uncomfortable (and potentially nasty) situation, and hopefully turning a potential enemy into a friend? I chose to respond. I immediately raised my hand with a sincere smile and mouthed, “Sorry, my fault.”

He then responded with a smile and a wave of his own. Funny thing is, when I got out of my car, his words to me were actually, “Sorry, I should have looked before getting out of my car.” Can you believe that??!!

I see two results to that situation; One is that a potential (and too typical) argument turned into a friendly exchange.

Secondly, next time he is in a similar situation, there’s a good chance he will respond instead of react, turn a potential enemy into a friend, and begin his own chain reaction of kindness and friendship.

• 贪婪：失控的欲望。是七宗罪中的重点与原点，其他六项罪恶只是无理欲望的补充延伸。
• 色欲：肉体的欲望。是指过度追求性爱的快感。
• 贪食：食物的欲望。是对过度放纵、浪费食物，与贪图追求娱乐的心。
• 妒忌：财产的欲望。因对方拥有的资产(金钱、才能、容貌等)比自己多或超越，对此心怀怨恨。
• 懒惰：逃避的欲望。因偷懒及浪费所造成的损失。
• 傲慢：卓越的欲望。因过分自信心导致的自我迷恋，自认自己处处高人一等。
• 暴怒：复仇的欲望。来自心里的暴燥、愤怒、憎恨导致情绪失控暴走产生强烈的报仇心态。

各种罪行其实环环相扣，所以各种各样的动机也被假设成是与各种罪行相连。例如骄傲（过度迷恋自己）其实暗示了贪食（过份消耗或浪费食物），其余各种罪行亦有相同的连系。每种罪行其实在表现出自视比神更重要，因而未能全心全意全神地投入去爱神。

Saligia
七宗罪的拉丁语为：“superbia”，“invidia”，“ira”，“accidia”，“avaritia”，“gula” and “luxuria”。在重新排列后，它们的第一个字母可以形成中世纪拉丁语“saligia”，然后衍生出其动词“saligiare”（去实行一条罪名，to commit a deadly sin）。

与恶行相呼应的恶魔： 代表各种罪行的恶魔会引诱拥有相同罪行的人

• 路西法（Lucifer）：傲慢（最美丽的大天使）
• 玛门（Mammon）：贪婪 （财宝和贪婪的错误之神）
• 阿斯莫德（Asmodeus）：淫欲 （激怒或色欲的魔神之始祖）

屋里，播放着莎拉布莱曼与玻赛理合唱的 Con Te Partiro，歌声柔美动人。我一抬头，无意中看到窗外深蓝天空中那半弯闪着金光的明亮新月，顿时被这绚丽清澈的夜色震撼了。

屋外，鲜花盛开。绿色的草地在白色的篱笆中散发着清新的芬芳，晚风悄悄掠入屋里，拨动着白色的窗帘，风铃偶尔轻轻发出一声轻盈的叮咚声。

街上很安静，没有车，也没有行人。路灯的光透过树叶的缝隙投射在草地上，轻轻飘动，而夜空中那半弯月亮，就象节日的明灯，格外耀眼夺目。

书房里，只有动人的旋律在悠悠回荡着。

我把自己窝进宽大的办公椅里，安静地端详着窗外美丽的月儿，让自己忙碌的心，借着这刻的静谧，好好休息一个晚上。真心感激，生命中经历过的那些精彩片段，多少波折，多少快乐，多少失败，又多少失意，还有那些在挑战中奋力争取的分分秒秒，把我带到了此时此地、此情此境中。

加拿大，六年光阴，就这样流逝了。成长的力量如此神奇。

一个人单独活着，活得是心情。两个人相依活着，活得是默契。一群人一起活着，活得是氛围。心情、默契和氛围，都来自爱。爱在哪里？爱从神来，神就是爱（约一4:7-8）。

心灵不一样 了，态度就不一样。态度不一样了，行为就不一样。行为不一样了，习惯就不一样。习惯不一样了，性格就不一样。性格不一样了，命运就不一样。可见人生命运是 由心灵决定的。圣经一再提醒我们：人一生的果效，是由心发出；你要保守你的心，胜过保守一切。（箴言4:23）

耶稣说：凡栽种的物，若不是我天父栽种的，必要拔出来。任凭他们吧！他们是瞎眼领路的；若是瞎子领瞎子，都要掉在坑里（太15:14）。基督徒要祷告，求 上帝不要任凭我们，也不要任凭他们；因为他任凭谁，谁就有祸了。上帝曾任凭法老王的心刚硬，结果埃及一灾接一灾，直到所有长子被灭（出81:12）。

人祝福人，是从外面到里面，通过物质和行为的帮助，温暖心灵；神祝福人，是从里面到外面，直接给人心力，进而改善物质和行为。人医治人，是从外面到里面， 药吃进去，针扎进去；神医治人，是从里面到外面：你信吗？你的信救了你，你的病痊愈了！你的罪赦免了！（马太福音9:22等）

住在至高者隐秘处的，必住在全能者的荫下（诗91:1）。神是自隐的神（赛45:15）。能越过世界纷纭万象，让心灵栖息在神的隐秘中的人，必能从那里得着不受一切伤害的保护，得着战胜一切仇敌的能力，得着超越一切人间荣辱、得失、成败的支点。

五千人没吃的，门徒问怎么办，耶稣说：看看你们有什么？贫困的寡妇求助，先知以利亚说：看看你家有什么？神总是用你所有的，来满足你所没有的。耶稣说，有 的，还有给他；没有的，连他所有的，也要夺去。（太13:12）所以珍惜你所拥有的，这是蒙福的秘诀之一；注目你所没有的，则是烦恼的根源之一。

我们很难以德报怨、以爱对恨。我们很难在自己有能力报复仇敌时不报复。我们很难在发现别人的问题后反求诸己。我们很难在自以为真理在握时沉默不语。我们很难在遭受污蔑诽谤时心平气和。要求人这样做，其实并不符合人性。但我们蒙召做上帝的儿女，就是要活出超越人性的生命。

世人常常担心和忧虑，这是有理由的，因为一眨眼的功夫，世界上什么都会变。基督徒不必担心和忧虑，也是有理由的，因为上帝从来不眨眼。

一个人只要不丧失自己，他就什么也不会丧失。而据我所知，只有当一个人把自己交给上帝——准确地说，只有当他发现自己的全部主权在上帝手中的时候，他才能在任何情况下也不会丧失自己。因为实际情况是：他并不具备丧失自己的资格和能力。

神希望人活得简单。因为神知道，生活简单就是幸福，心思简单就蒙祝福。耶稣说清心的人有福了，他要人回归成小孩子的样式，又要人将一切忧虑烦恼、劳苦重 担、罪孽缠累，都藉着祷告交托给他，目的就是叫我们活得简单。生活越简单，生命越丰盛；心思越简单，心里越平安；人生越简单，活得越喜乐。

严格説来，基督信仰不是一种宗教，它不是建立在一套神学、教义、律法、仪式、组织之上，乃是建立在一个生命之上。它不是人找神，乃是神找人。它不借助于人 的智慧、德行等等，乃是直接将一个生命，一个从摇篮到墓地、从马槽到十字架的真实生命，一个从天上到地上、又从地上到天上的真实生命，赐予人。

圣经说，爱是凡事包容、凡事相信、凡事盼望、凡事忍耐。凡事包容是对人的爱，因为人无完人。凡事相信是对神的爱，因为神是完全。凡事盼望是对未来的爱，因为未来在神手中。凡事忍耐是对现在的爱，因为现在需要百般忍耐——无论是尽心爱神还是爱人如己，都需要百般忍耐。

上帝爱你，不是爱你所做的，也不是爱你所有的，他是爱你这个人。上帝爱你，不是因为你多可爱，也不是因为你多爱他，而是因为他就是爱。上帝爱你，是要你活出、传递他的爱，不是要你占有、独享他的爱。

人得救出于神的恩典，也因着人的信心。信心什么样？一个信心，N个表现：因信可以大大地开口，因信可以久久地闭口，因信可以静静地等待。因信可以坚持，也 可以放弃；因信可以欢歌，也可以哭泣。信很难，信很易；信很深，信很浅。信是一次的跨越，信是一生的坚守。信是看不见的内心，信是看得见的行动。

当最难相信的事情来临，当最不可信的情况发生，当眼前的亮光都已经熄灭的时候，我们信心的灯光仍然点亮着。我们选择相信，选择相信那活在我们心里面的神，没有任何权势可以夺去我们深藏的信心。我们这些凭着信心在黑夜走路的人，必能看见胜利的曙光。

人生不长，一共才三天：昨天、今天、明天。更可怜的是，人只能活在其中一天：今天。过好今天的秘诀就是：只活在今天。手扶着犁向后看会毁了今天，为明天忧虑也会毁了今天。聪明人只关注今天，幸福人只活在今天。补往昔之缺憾，追未来之梦想，全在今天。

A HISTORY LESSON, VERY INTERESTING READ IT ALL LOL!

They used to use urine to tan animal skins, so families
used to all pee in a pot & then once a day it was taken &
Sold to the tannery.......if you had to do this to survive
you were "Piss Poor"

But worse than that were the really poor folk who couldn't
even afford to buy a pot......they "didn't have a pot to
piss in" & were the lowest of the low

The next time you are washing your hands and complain
because the water temperature isn't just how you like it,
think about how things used to be. Here are some facts about the 1500s:

Most people got married in June because they took their
yearly bath in May, and they still smelled pretty good by
June.. However, since they were starting to smell . ...... .
Brides carried a bouquet of flowers to hide the body odor.
Hence the custom today of carrying a bouquet when getting
Married.

Baths consisted of a big tub filled with hot water. The man
of the house had the privilege of the nice clean water, then
all the other sons and men, then the women and finally the
children. Last of all the babies. By then the water was so
dirty you could actually lose someone in it.. Hence the
saying, "Don't throw the baby out with the Bath water!"

Houses had thatched roofs-thick straw-piled high, with no
wood underneath. It was the only place for animals to get
warm, so all the cats and other small animals (mice, bugs)
lived in the roof. When it rained it became slippery and
sometimes the animals would slip and fall off the roof...
Hence the saying "It's raining cats and dogs."

There was nothing to stop things from falling into the
house. This posed a real problem in the bedroom where bugs and other droppings could mess up your nice clean bed. Hence, a bed with big posts and a sheet hung over the top afforded some protection. That's how canopy beds came into existence.

The floor was dirt. Only the wealthy had something other
than dirt. Hence the saying, "Dirt poor." The wealthy had
slate floors that would get slippery in the winter when wet,
so they spread thresh (straw) on floor to help keep their
footing. As the winter wore on, they added more thresh until, when you opened the door, it would all start slipping
outside. A piece of wood was placed in the entrance-way.
Hence: a thresh hold.

In those old days, they cooked in the kitchen with a big
kettle that always hung over the fire.. Every day they lit
the fire and added things to the pot. They ate mostly
vegetables and did not get much meat. They would eat the
stew for dinner, leaving leftovers in the pot to get cold
overnight and then start over the next day. Sometimes stew
had food in it that had been there for quite a while. Hence
the rhyme: Peas porridge hot, peas porridge cold, peas
porridge in the pot nine days old. Sometimes they could
obtain pork, which made them feel quite special. When
visitors came over, they would hang up their bacon to show
off. It was a sign of wealth that a man could, "bring home
the bacon." They would cut off a little to share with guests
and would all sit around and chew the fat.

Those with money had plates made of pewter. Food with high acid content caused some of the lead to leach onto the food, causing lead poisoning death. This happened most often with tomatoes, so for the next 400 years or so, tomatoes were considered poisonous.

Bread was divided according to status. Workers got the burnt
bottom of the loaf, the family got the middle, and guests
got the top, or the upper crust.

Lead cups were used to drink ale or whisky. The combination
would Sometimes knock the imbibers out for a couple of days. Someone walking along the road would take them for dead and prepare them for burial.. They were laid out on the kitchen table for a couple of days and the family would gather around and eat and drink and wait and see if they would wake up. Hence the custom of holding a wake.

England is old and small and the local folks started running
out of places to bury people. So they would dig up coffins
and would take the bones to a bone-house, and reuse the
grave. When reopening these coffins, 1 out of 25 coffins
were found to have scratch marks on the inside and they
realized they had been burying people alive... So they would
tie a string on the wrist of the corpse, lead it through the
coffin and up through the ground and tie it to a bell.
Someone would have to sit out in the graveyard all night
(the graveyard shift.) to listen for the bell; thus, someone
could be, saved by the bell or was considered a dead ringer.

And that's the truth....Now, whoever said History was boring

【天道酬勤】一天曾国藩在家读书，对一篇文章重复不知道多少遍了，还是背不下来。这时家里来了一贼，潜伏在屋檐下，等着读书人睡觉后捞点好处。可是等啊等，就是不见他睡觉。贼人大怒，跳出来教训曾先生之后，背完文章，便扬长而去！贼人是很聪明，但他的天赋没有加上勤奋，变得不知所终。

天灾人祸、社会不公、心灵创伤...... 的确，许多问题没有答案，许多事情令人沮丧，许多时候山穷水尽。上帝为什么允许这种状况发生？因为他需要时常提醒人：不要忘记你们是人，是有限有罪有死的人。当然上帝向信他的人也从未隐藏过他那无限的臂膀：我随时与你们同在，你们在我面前有平安（约16:33）。

苦难、屈辱、绝境，对一些人来说，成了一生挥之不去的阴影；对另一些人来说，却成了一生享受不尽的财富。关键在于立脚点不同：一些人趴在苦难之下哀叹，一些人站在苦难之上眺望。耶稣说：你们在世上有苦难，但在我里面有平安，因为我已经胜过世界（约16:33）。耶稣的十字架，是人生的制高点。

实际上，生命结束时，所有人的所有一切都化作虚空，唯有神的道就是基督永存。圣经说：凡有血气的尽都如草，他的美荣都像草上的花，草必枯乾，花必凋谢，唯有主的道永存。所传给你们的福音就是这道。（彼后1:24-25）

Being perfect is not about that scoreboard out there. It's not about winning. It's about you and your relationship with yourself, your family and your friends. Being perfect is about being able to look your friends in the eye and know that you didnt let them down because you told them the truth. And that truth is you did everything you could. There wasnt one more thing you could've done. Can you live in that moment as best you can, with clear eyes, and love in your heart, with joy in your heart? If you can do that gentleman - you're perfect!
