have u been studying french? i find that french is much more important in legal field than english in the province of québec. there are a lot of immigrants of legal background from france and maghreb. anyway, they have no big advantage, for their working language is french, so quebec lawyers and notaries suffice.
of course, it's not easy for us neither, for legal skills are not transferable. chinese law has no big thing in common with quebec mondern civil law, don't mention quebec public law, which originated from commonl law.
