今天学校来信,得知我女儿8年级高斯数学竞赛得满分。平日自己搬运销售做Labour,女儿这点在别人看来不起眼的成绩也让我们老两口高兴好一阵子,特此显摆一下!
信的内容如下:
On Wednesday, May 11, the Gauss Mathematics Contest was written worldwide, including North America, Europe and
Asia. At Glenview, about 100 students participated in this 60 minute contest, which was written in our cafeteria.
The contest is named after Johann Carl Friedrich Gauss (1777-1855).
Gauss is widely regarded as the most influential mathematician of the past 1000 years. The contest is administered by University of Waterloo.
All students are to be congratulated for their participation in the Gauss Contest. The top results were achieved in grade 8 by Jin C., Sam M., James A., Robert M., Anne K. and Christine R. For grade 7, top results were achieved by Emily delaR., Eric B., Sam K., Taylor D. and Michael M. Recognition Certificates were awarded at the Recognition Assembly this morning.
Special congratulations to Jin C., who scored a perfect 150. Well done, Glenview!
