i'm really flattered by your guys' words, thanks so much for saying so.
in fact, i'm not so good at english as u think, for every time i re-read my posts, i find there are always some faults, esp. the spellings.
annie, ur interest in the early children education sounds so good, since there exists a big demand of educators for children in canada. and if u have a good command of english ( seems u have already accomplished), u can work as a teacher once u get the professional permit.
Yes,I have this kind of plan for working as an educator, for I love children not only my own .I am still preparing for it now,I am now having a distance-learning course in Singapore about this field ---Montessori Methods ,which is so good ,not only for my career but for my children ,family as well.It is also force me to get touch with English too for I have to write my assignment and the text books, which is one of my strategies to force my self keeping improving my english. So if I finally pass the two examines, written and practical,I can get a diploma, which will help me to get a job or for further study in this field.I hope all this preparation will make my life in Canada more easier than people do not do it . i train my listening capability very little, for my net speed is too slow. but on the contrary, i see american movies very often, but u know, it's not enough.
also, i'm living in a french-speaking society, so it's very difficult to pratice my conversation skills. but anyway, i still have some occasions to speak english with americans. and i just need some days to play my potential to its fullness before i work in english.
for me, i benefit a lot from readings, all kinds of readings... my specialty, and other books.
hi, have u read the Bible? i had got several versions of Bible when i was in china. i found, and i still find that the biblical style is the most beautiful, powerful and instructive of all the styles we could find. this, although i'm not a christian.
