我是一个准孕妇，6个多月了，准备近期登陆卡尔加里。我2012年5月曾经短登过多伦多，什么手续都没办。我这次登陆是不是医疗卡也是登陆生效？An eligible resident of Alberta is a person who is:

如果你是永久居民的身份，之前什么卡都没办，先到downtown的service canada办sin卡，然后拿着临时的sin卡，上面有本地的住址，去downtown或者别的地方的register company 办健康卡。

落地是指能够提供证明地址的账单，包括水电煤气银行账单，临时sin卡也可以证明地址。健康卡是落地生效。

我记得曾经回答过这样的帖子。只要你有健康卡就行，生不生效是省与省之间怎么算帐的问题，和你无关。你只要拿卡去看病就行了。

按照之前我了解的信息是这样的：1.如果其他地方登陆，3个月内去阿省还算是新移民，可以直接办理阿省的医疗卡，也就是立即生效的。2.另外那段话指的是一个自然年内（1月1日－12月31日）必需住满183天才算那里的居民，才能拥有免费医疗，不然是要自行交费的。3.在魁省是新移民第一年没有183天的限制，不知道阿省有没有这个政策。供参考。

基本上二楼正解。你去注册健康卡后，会直接拿到卡号，即时生效。正式的纸质卡之后会寄到你提供的地址。我去年刚办的，就是这个流程。

你可以当新移民，直接去注册。转卡要3个月。直接注册，过1周就可以拿到。
