Education

Graduation with a degree from a recognized university in Civil Engineering or some other engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.

Occupational Certification

Experience
Experience in managing financial and human resources for the planning, design and construction of built works.
Experience in developing and implementing standards and technical approaches related to maintenance, inspection and management of built works.
Experience in the procurement of consultant and construction services in relation to construction works.
Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams.

Work Environment
The Parks Canada Agency was founded on April 1, 1999 with the status of separate employer within the Canadian public service. It has thus been endowed with its own system of human resources management, which fully complies with the values of equity, competence and respect. Challenge
Provides specialized professional engineering services, advice and leadership, typically within an area of authoritative expertise, to support Agency asset life cycle management.
Assets include some combination of: road infrastructure; highways and bridges; buildings and structures (historic, contemporary and reproductions); cultural assets; grounds (including historic landscapes and recreational facilities); beaches; trails/boardwalks; campgrounds; day-use facilities; golf courses; vehicles; heavy equipment and boats; fortifications; canals; locks; wharves and docks; dams; avalanche-related equipment; monuments; plaques; and public utilities, i.e. the structures (but not the operation) of systems for potable water, wastewater, electric power, radio communications, solid waste, petroleum storage, and climate control.
