Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

We are seeking an experienced Producer/Manager to lead our in-house advertising/creative agency. Reporting to the Executive Vice President Marketing, the Executive Producer will be responsible for the creation and production of all forms of advertising and film/video based products. This position is based at our downtown Toronto head office.
Responsibilities: Overall business responsibility for the production including coordinating all elements of the production from the award date until the production is completed Management of 3 full time employees as well as several freelance employees. Full time employees are an Executive Creative Director (Art Director), an Associate Creative Director (Writer/Musical Director), and an Assistant Producer (clearance, traffic, duplication etc.) Liaise with the marketing, product development and sales departments to determine the scope of work on a regular basis Develop all production budgets and adhere to such budgets on a yearly basis (approximately $4 million annual budget) Negotiate budgets with production companies and adhere to budgets during and after production Responsible for all creative aspects of the project Source resources as needed (creative resources for development of advertising commercials or long format videos and production companies and/or crews for production and post production needs) Work with media planning company on a regular basis to ensure timing demands are met Obtain appropriate creative input and approvals from “client” on all work created and produced Responsible for all creative aspects of the program and may hire others, including the writer, director, and talent.
Qualifications: 10+ years as a producer preferably in an Advertising Agency Experience as a line producer Knowledge of children’s advertising laws in North America is a plus Demonstrated ability to manage creative staff Experience sourcing and managing external resources (production and creative) Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands
