the topic seens like said by GaoyuBao, I really want to learn english for competition

in Canada. but I could not keep myself away from the forum. so could we try our best

to express ourself in English, and then translate for better understand by the people

who can not read in english.

maybe a better idea would be: you can start a new topic in English, then everyone joining you has to express him- or herself in English; to be simple, we don't have to translate the content into Chinese, since the purpose is to practise our English instead of translation skill. However, if anyone has any special questions that have to be answered in Chinese, we can do that for him or her.

And if we find any mistakes that we belive others may have in their English expressions, we can discuss those possible "mistakes" so all of us can improve ourselves in the process.

For this topic, what do you mean by saying " I want to study"? Would you please elaborate it so we can give you some suggestions. thx!

I think it's better to get a Toefl score first, 'cause lots college and university here need Toefl score for application, I am now preparing computer based Toefl test.
Hope this time I really take it seriously, don't just a waste time.

if u want to participate TOEFL, u should sign up for it at the special place which is authorized by ETS.

Actually, I do not want to participate Toefl course, I am old enough I think and have not any time and energy to go to college anymore in Canada.

not yet. i can make the final dicision until next march when i plan to go to ca.
wish you can get your visa earlier. if i don't have a wrong memory, you are waiting to take your son or daughter to ca to go to the junior school directly.

i envy that!

my parents are over 70 ys old. they don't want us to leave them at all. i always feel sad when i think of leaving them to go to a place so far away from them. whenever my mum talks of our leaving them,she'll cry. I don't know how to overcome the phychological barrier while enduring the hardship of adapting to a future totallly unclear!

I think your writen english is enough good to be a labor, but I could not sure is it also enough to be a clerk in Canada.

I always see you go around at area of "爱城”and Vancouver, how do you think where is more suitable for you to land on??

I am really fainting to make choice about where should I go until book the air ticket.

It is so boring about the speed of net. when I wrote all the content of post and sent them out , but I found it is failed in the end. it made me crazy almost.

Anyone wants to have a new challenge to Canada when they delivery immigration apply. But you know I have given up my job for more than three years, so I have not any ambition any more. I almost forget most of my specialty and profession. Now I just can take care of my son and surf on the forum sit in front of the computer, or watch TV and meanwhile have some sock such as melon seeds. I am a helpless women now.

don't feel sorry for them since you are going to be with them as long as you would after your arrival in ca. plus your parents are happy in ca. the regret of absence from parents is a great sadness for many new chinese immigrants in ca.

yes, i'm hesistating in choosing which city. edomton and vancouve and calgary are in my choise list. living in edmonton is relatively cheap. but it's too cold. vancouver is beautiful and have more friends. but the daily expense is rather high. and i'm not sure i can find a good job there.

when are you going to ca? i'm going next march. so i still have the time to swing around.

it seems that all of us know the importance of english. of course without good english we can't find a decent job,not mention ease of mind after we get there. for this circumsatnce, Richmond is a better choice compare with other place.

I have same situation of dilemma as you. and now I may have a choice to go Calcary first to enjoy welfare there and to have Linc ,Esl course first, then will reture to Vancouver when I can communicate in English freely.

Fortunately, you will go to Canada next year, so you have enough time to think about it over.

It is really hard to express all myself in english, but I will try to answer both of your questions , I must to used to think and talk in english from now on.

Anything has its two aspects, also I enjoy such life that most of women admiring, but you know I have lost courage to overcome all the difficult to gain what you want. I even afraid to catch a chance when the certain challenge comes to me.

So now, my only purpose to Candada is : to have my son got more chance to have a look at foreign country, and to have more practice in daliy life, not as a flower is just kept in a warm room, and not so helpless like his mother.
